Before treatment
- Tell us about any medicines (especially blood thinners), allergies, pregnancy/breastfeeding, herpes and previous treatments.
- Come without make-up in the area to be treated, and with freshly washed skin.
- Avoid alcohol the day before and on the day unless otherwise agreed.
After treatment
- Follow the advice you were given by the nurse.
- Avoid strong heat, sun and hard exercise for the first 24–48 hours unless otherwise agreed.
- Use sunscreen daily.
This is normal
- Slight redness, swelling or tenderness in the first few days.
When to get in touch
Get in touch if you experience any of this:
- In case of severe pain, white/pale or bluish skin, visual disturbances, difficulty breathing, severe swelling that spreads, fever or pus: call the clinic on 403 11 017 immediately (outside opening hours: legevakt 116 117 (out-of-hours emergency clinic); in case of acute danger 113 (emergency number)).
