Aftercare advice
Permanent make-up and microblading: before and after treatment
Advice before and after brow/lip pigmentation.
General advice – the nurse will give you personal advice tailored to your treatment.
Before treatment
- Avoid alcohol, caffeine and blood thinners (if your doctor allows it) for 24 hours.
- Do not pluck, wax or tint brows in the last 1–2 weeks.
- Tell us about herpes, pregnancy, skin diseases and previous reactions.
After treatment
- Keep the area dry and clean; follow the aftercare instructions you receive (a thin layer of the recommended balm).
- Do not scratch, pick or soak the area (swimming pool, sauna, tanning bed) for approx. 7–14 days.
- Avoid sun and use sunscreen once the skin has healed.
- The colour looks darker in the first few days and lightens once the scabs have fallen off.
This is normal
- Redness, slight swelling, tenderness, dry skin/scabs in the first week.
- The colour may look uneven during healing. A touch-up after 4–8 weeks is common.
