Julie's tips for healthy skin

Julie's tips for healthy skin

Did you know that the skin is the body's largest organ? A number of factors affect our skin, both negatively and positively. Smoking, too little sleep, drinking too little water and a lack of good skincare routines affect our skin negatively. Here I have gathered a number of tips for you who want to really let your skin shine and who want to influence your skin in a positive way.

It all starts with inner balance, also when it comes to skin health. Remember to get enough sleep and drink plenty of water. It is also important to have a good skincare routine with active products suited to your skin and your concern. If you are unsure what your skin actually needs, drop by the clinic for a free skin analysis. As professional practitioners, we can plan an individual treatment course for you and pick out the right products for your skin.

The first tip for healthy skin is cleanse and scrub. A cleanser will remove make-up, sebum and dirt that settle on the skin over the course of the day. The scrub will exfoliate away dead skin cells and make the serums and creams applied afterwards penetrate deeper into the tissue and work optimally. ZO Skin Health "Getting Skin Ready" is a starter pack. If you buy the Complextion Clearing Program you get a cleanser, scrub and pads, plus a free Complexion Clearing Masque! This clay mask treats and helps prevent acne, has a soothing effect, tightens the appearance of pores and can also be used as a "spot treatment" on breakouts.

My best tip for hydrating dry facial skin is Igloo Moist from Noon. It is also important to use products that build up the skin barrier and contribute to increased moisture levels over time. Here I can warmly recommend Carisma Retinol 1% from Noon, or a serum such as Daily Power Defense from ZO, which strengthens the skin barrier while protecting against external influences with the help of powerful antioxidants, to mention just a few of our bestsellers. This month we also have a campaign on Daily Power Defense.

For the face there is a sea of good products, so it is important to find the product that suits your skin condition. We can treat everything from spots/acne, grey, dull skin, signs of ageing, fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone, rosacea and facial redness.

The HydroCalming ampoules and the Triolift mask from Noon have become a big favourite in the clinic. As has the Reform Eye Cream, which contains SYN-AKE, a synthetically produced ingredient inspired by snake venom that smooths wrinkles/lines and firms the skin around the eyes. It imitates the effect of a muscle-relaxing medication. Growth Factor Eye Serum from ZO Skin Health is personally one of my favourites. It firms, gives moisture and plumps the skin around the eye.

Eye cream, mask and sun protection are also essential products to have in the daily skincare routine to take care of the skin. Sun protection helps keep the skin from becoming unevenly pigmented and also counteracts enlarged pores. We have many different sunscreens to choose from, so I recommend that you come by to try the products.

For the body I use Body Emulsion from ZO myself. It is a really good body lotion that gives lots of moisture. For cellulite and firming of the body, PBSerum Easy Touch is an option, with 3 home products. These serums contain highly active enzymes that smooth uneven skin texture and have a firming effect.

Remember to take care of your skin, and if you are still in doubt about what to choose, relax, we will help you <3
